It’s been a busy summer. As always, we’ve had lots of interesting instruments come through the shop. At the same time, we’ve been shepherding the renovation of our new location just east of where we are now in downtown Raleigh. We’ll close briefly on August 23 to make the transition. 410 Morson St. was built around 1910. Prior to that there had been a stable on the property! J.B. Riggan, a grocer, moved in in 1911. Since then, there have been many residents, among them lawyers, photographers, writers, artists and environmental activists. We are excited about the building’s new incarnation as a violin shop and look forward to showing you around soon.
