Charles Nelson

Charles Nelson, graduate of Red Wing School in Minnesota, continued instrument making building guitars in the shop of Ron Pinkham in Glen Cove, Maine. He has been employed at John Montgomery Inc. since 1990 restoring and making violins.

Charles is currently building violins based on the Guarneri del Gesu "Plowden" and violas based on the 1620 Brothers Amati.  Charles also plays traditional old time music with the Southern String Band.
